Details: For this group walk, we'll be visiting Wolferton Royal Station and Wolferton/Dersingham Fen in West Norfolk. The station is situated on the Sandringham Estate and became famous in the 1800's through it's association with the Royal Family. After the King's Lynn to Hunstanton line was closed in 1969, stations all along the line were sold off, some were knocked down while others have been renovated into houses/businesses. In 2001 Wolferton Royal Station was sold on and due to its historical importance has been restored to former glory. While trains no longer serve the station, visitors can still walk the platform to admire the building work and features, there is a real sense of history here, you can almost smell/hear the steam trains.

After our visit to the station, we'll head to Wolferton/Dersingham Fen for a loop walk amongst the heather, woodland and wildlife - Also, throughout May, the roads around Sandringham and Wolferton are covered in stunning rhododendron flowers, our visit is timed to coincide with their bloom.

The walk is aimed primarily at beginner and hobbyist photographers but is open to everyone who loves photography, the outdoors and the Norfolk coast/countryside. Any camera type is fine (smartphones included).

Please don't worry if you're new to photography, our events aren't competitive and all are welcome. Group walks/workshops aren't intended to be in depth/technical tuition sessions but more of an opportunity for like minded folk to get together to practice taking photographs (with some gentle guidance and direction). If you have any concerns or questions before booking your place, please just drop me an email.
