Details: After meeting outside the boathouse, we'll board the Welcome Ferry passenger boat for a short trip along Overy Creek to Scolt Head Island. The boat lands at the eastern end of the island (Norton Hill/dunes), once there we'll have 2 hours to explore and photograph the beautiful national nature reserve - beach, dunes, sea, grasses and flora, crystal clear seas, birdlife and Norfolk's famous big skies. Our visit has been planned to coincide with high tide and the Welcome Ferry running times. The last boat back to Burnham Overy Staithe is at 12 noon.

For details on the Welcome Ferry, please click the following link > https://jejmarine.wixsite.com/welcome

The walk is aimed primarily at beginner and hobbyist photographers but is open to everyone who loves taking photos and being outdoors. Any camera type is fine (smartphones included) - please don't worry if you're new to photography, walks aren't a competition and all abilities are welcome. Group walks aren't intended to be in depth/technical tuition sessions but an opportunity for like minded folk to get together to practice taking photographs. If you have any questions before booking your place, please just drop me an email.

Car Parking: Yes - Free of Charge - Best to park on the main A149 coast road and walk round to the boathouse.

Accessible via Public Transport: Yes - No.36 Coastliner - from King's Lynn or Fakenham - please check timetables or email for assistance.

Facilities: The island is remote and has no shops or toilets - there are also no public toilets at our meeting place - please make sure you are comfortable before you arrive. Nearest local facilities are at The Hero pub (Burnham Overy), in Burnham Market or at Burnham Deepdale (Deepdale Market). A polite request please that nothing is left behind when we leave the island, litter or otherwise.

No less than 24 hours notice will be provided by email with information on cancellation. Full terms and conditions can be found via the link below.
