Venice Weekend Break - Itinerary

While it's always good to have a plan, times are not set rigidly and act as a loose guide for what to expect over the weekend. More than anything, I'd like those who come to have an enjoyable break, with opportunities to relax, take photographs and socialize with a friendly group. Away from the planned walks, you'll have some free time to enjoy Venice and it's attractions – Times are approximate and plans may alter depending on weather conditions and transport timetables. I ask that you please keep the looseness of this plan in mind and are open to any changes that occur. As with all city breaks there will be a fair amount of walking over the weekend, we will however take regular rest stops and use public transport for any longer stretches of travel. Group members are encouraged to look out for each other and be patient with those with reduced mobility. If you have any queries, please don't hesitate to get in touch. As with all photo walks and breaks, things will be very relaxed, if there is anything listed that you'd rather not do or if you feel you need time out at any point, please just let me know.

All times (aside from check in from 3pm and check out before 11am) are approximate.

Friday 6th March 2026

No group walks or events planned for today - this allows for a leisurely day of travel and staggered arrival times.

Check in open from 3pm - I'll be around in Mestre from Thursday 5th and happy to help with bags and directions (if required) when you arrive.

Arrival to hotel, a chance to settle, to explore the local area (Mestre) and relax a little before the weekend. Various restaurants and bars are close to our accommodation, there is also a supermarket nearby for those who'd prefer to have food and drink in apartments.
