Payment
1. A deposit payment of £100 (per person) secures your place/s and room/s on the weekend break dated as above.
2. Deposits are only refundable within 14 days of payment being made (the cooling off period) - after 14 days, deposits are non refundable.
3. Any remaining balance will be due no less than 28 days before the weekend break start date.
4. If you book less than 28 days before the weekend break start date, full payment will be due at the time of requesting a booking.
On requesting a booking you will receive an email (within 3 working days) with an invoice for deposit or full balance payment. Where a deposit is paid, a separate invoice will follow detailing balance due and due date.
Deposit payments are due by return, full balance is due no less than 28 days before the weekend break start date.
BACs payment is preferred.
Cancellations and Refunds
5. If you cancel your booking less than 28 days before the weekend break start date, you will be liable for the full cost. Spaces are non transferable.
6. If you cancel your booking more than 28 days prior to the weekend break start date and more than 14 days after deposit payment, the deposit will be retained.
7. Jon Clifton Photography reserves the right to cancel the weekend break up to but no less* than 28 days in advance. If this is necessary, emailed notice will be provided and a full refund given (including deposit but excluding any other expenses e.g. flight tickets and associated travel costs to/from airport)
8*. If the cancellation is out of the control of Jon Clifton Photography, e.g. natural disaster, act of God, Government issued advice restricting travel, organiser illness, you may be given less than 28 days notice of cancellation. A full refund (including deposit but excluding any other expenses) will be given.
9. If poor weather is forecast or experienced while a weekend break is in progress, efforts will be made to provide indoor tuition as an alternative. Where this is not possible, a partial refund will be offered.
10. Jon Clifton Photography accepts no liability for additional expenses incurred due to cancellation (regardless of reason)
Insurance/Risk
11. You participate in all weekend break activities* at your own risk. Jon Clifton Photography will accept no liability for injury or damage to you or your property. Travel insurance is highly recommended to cover against injury, theft or cancellation.
While not an alternative to private health care covered by insurance, a free NHS GHIC (Global Health Insurance Card) is also recommended.
*Activities to include city photo walks, travel on public and private transport (trams/buses/trains and water buses/taxis).
Accommodation
12. Rooms are booked and allocated on a single or double occupancy basis, they are charged as such depending on your requirements. There are 5 rooms available, 2 of which have been set aside for double occupancy but can be single occupancy. Full details of the accommodation and associated website links/reviews/maps are included on the event page. Please take time to research and ensure the accommodation will suit your needs before requesting a booking.
13. Any complaints regarding accommodation must be raised at the time with the accommodation provider.
14. You are responsible for room keys and any damage to rooms. Any additional costs will be forwarded by invoice within 28 days of the weekend break ending.
15. Jon Clifton Photography accepts no liability for issues with rooms, external noise or the accommodation provider, aside from if rooms are not as described on the event listing page. The hotel is near a railway station, roads and walkways will be busy.
Itinerary
16. The published itinerary is subject to change depending on weather and transport timings. If your outbound flight is delayed / diverted or cancelled to the extent you'll not arrive on Friday 6th March, you must let the organiser know.
Legal Age
17. There is a minimum age requirement of 16 to attend. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Complaints
18. If you wish to make a complaint at any point, please do so at the first available opportunity. This allows Jon Clifton Photography time to work out a satisfactory solution. If you feel unable to raise a complaint at the time an issue arises, please make your complaint known in writing within 28 days of the weekend break ending.
In case of conflict, these terms and conditions shall prevail over any other agreements or understandings.
Payment of deposit, indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions.
For transparency, Jon Clifton Photography is not a Travel Agent and not associated with ABTA or ATOL.
