Details: For this walk, we'll be visiting the RSPB Snettisham reserve in West Norfolk. After meeting in the car park, our walk takes us past the fishing lakes, alongside the lagoons then up on to the beach where we'll spend some time photographing the Old Jetty. From here we'll head a little further into the reserve to the best location to see the wader spectacle.

Our main reason for walking here is to experience and photograph a wildlife event known as the Snettisham Spectacular. As the tide comes in, flocks of wading birds are moved along the shoreline until eventually the tide level peaks and the birds run of ground. They then take to the skies in their hundreds/thousands, moving and dancing across the sky and sea in stunning murmurations which really take the breath away.

When bird life appears to have died down, our walk will come to an end. You'll be free to further explore the reserve and hides or return back to our start point.

Please note that an event of this nature is highly dependent on mother nature and circumstances outside of external control. For example, if the wind is blowing in an easterly direction, the rising tide will be slowed and the birds may not take flight. Our chosen date has been handpicked by the RSPB as a best opportunity to witness the spectacular. In the event of the spectacle not occurring, refunds will not be provided.

Car Parking: Yes - Pay and Display - £3 - Machines accept cash and cards.

Accessible via Public Transport: Snettisham village is accessible by bus but note the reserve is a 45+ minute walk from the village centre.

Tide info: The tide will be rising and high during our walk - the car park is inland so remains unaffected.

Toilet Facilities: No. Nearest public facilities are a 10 minute drive away at Heacham South beach. Private facilities can be found in Snettisham village. As our event is spread over a few hours, please ensure you are comfortable before attending.

Refreshments/Cafe: No, not at the reserve. Please feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks. There are two pubs (Rose and Crown / Queen Victoria) and cafes (The Old Store and Poppylicious) in the village or a fish and chip shop near to the car park.

Weather: Photography walks are dependent on the weather. If there's a forecast of heavy rain or any type of weather warning, the walk will be cancelled. 24+ hours notice will be provided by email with information on cancellation. Full terms and conditions can be found via the link below. If the walk is cancelled for any reason (including but not limited to poor weather), a full refund will be provided.

Emergency Contact: Attendees will be asked to provide contact details for themselves and an emergency contact. This information will be used only for emergency purposes if required. This information will be securely stored and disposed of within 21 days of the walk ending. Names and phone numbers will not be used for marketing or any other purpose. This information is required for your own safety.

Attendees will be emailed 48-72 hours before the walk with final joining instructions and a weather update
