Details: With kind permission from the National Trust, for this group event we'll be visiting Morston Quay on the North Norfolk coast, taking a seal boat trip with John Bean Boats and then walking the coast path from Morston to Blakeney harbour. Here, we'll explore the harbour and have some lunch before heading back to our start point at Morston (either by foot or a short bus ride for those who'd prefer to rest their legs).
Morston Quay is home to a variety of moored boats and undisturbed views across salt marsh, the light here for photography is always fantastic. Our seal boat is due to depart at 11am, the hour long boat ride will take us from Morston Quay to Blakeney Point where we'll have an opportunity to photograph a colony of grey seals in their natural habitat, an unforgettable Norfolk experience. We'll be sharing the boat with members of the public and although free to take photographs, this section of our day will be guided exclusively by our skipper. After our boat ride, we'll take a stroll along the Norfolk coast path to Blakeney where we'll explore the harbour and take a short break for lunch.
Photo walk events are aimed at beginner and hobbyist photographers, you'll be encouraged to wander and capture images in your own creative style and I'll be on hand to look at your images, answer questions and offer advice on composition and camera settings. All camera types are welcome (smartphones included). For the boat trip, a zoom lens is recommended (200mm+), we'll be staying on the boat for the duration of the hour long trip.
*Disclaimer: Please note that number of seals and sea conditions cannot be guaranteed. While I'd love to say 'there'll be a lot of seals' and the sea 'will be calm', mother nature may have other ideas and these factors cannot be controlled or guaranteed. Please bare this in mind before booking.
