Morston Quay - Group Photography Walk & Seal Boat Trip

Location: Morston Quay, North Norfolk

Date and time: Sunday 29th May 2022 - 2:30PM - The event will end at approx. 5:45pm

Meeting Place: Morston Quay Visitor Centre/Cafe - Sat Nav Postcode: NR25 7BH

Details: With kind permission from the National Trust, for this group event we'll be visiting Morston Quay on the North Norfolk coast. The quay is home to a variety of moored boats and undisturbed views across saltmarsh, the light here for photography is always fantastic. After spending some time exploring the quay, at 4:30pm we'll head to our seal boat boarding point. Our boat is set to depart at 4:45pm, the hour long boat trip will take us from the quay to Blakeney Point where we'll have an opportunity to photograph a colony of grey seals in their natural habitat. A Norfolk experience like no other. We'll be sharing the boat with other members of the public and although we'll be free to take photographs, this section of the event will be guided exclusively by our skipper. Our boat trip has been booked with John Bean Boats

Photo walk events are aimed at beginner and hobbyist photographers, after some gentle direction in the Quay, you'll be free to wander and capture images in your own creative style. I'll be on hand to look at your images, guide, answer questions and offer advice on composition and camera settings. All camera types are welcome (smartphones included). For the boat trip, a zoom lens is recommended (200mm+), we'll be staying on the boat for the duration of the hour long trip.
