Summer at Gooderstone - Group Photography Walk & Picnic

Location: Gooderstone Water Gardens, Gooderstone, West Norfolk

Event Info: Guided group walk for beginner and hobbyist photographers. A social event that provides an opportunity for photography practice alongside other friendly/creative people. The walk will be led by Jon Clifton

Date and time: Sunday 10th July - 11:30am

Meeting Place: The Car Park/Entrance Hut - Sat Nav Postcode PE33 9BP

Details: For this group walk, we'll be returning to Gooderstone Water Gardens in West Norfolk to capture the grounds as they appear in the summer. After a brief introduction and some gentle direction, you'll be free to wander the gardens and take photographs in your own creative style. Jon will be on hand to take a look at your images, to offer guidance and to answer any questions you may have.

The gardens include 4 ponds, 13 numbered bridges, waterways, a nature trail and bird hide (if you're lucky, you may see a Kingfisher!). There is a tearoom on site and plenty of benches for those who just want to sit, relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. Gooderstone Water Gardens is the perfect place to visit and escape for a couple of hours. After the first hour or so, we'll take a break for some lunch. There is a cafe on site but please feel free to bring your own sandwiches.

Photo walks are aimed at beginner and hobbyist photographers. Due to the mix of abilities attending, walks aren't designed to be in depth tuition sessions but more of a chance for friendly like minded people to get together to practice photography. Things only get as technical as the questions you ask. All camera types are fine, smartphones included.
