Details: Having been a favourite location for photo walks over the past few years, it was sad to learn recently that Gooderstone Water Gardens will be closing in April. It seems appropriate to pay one final visit as a group, a chance to say goodbye and once again enjoy a few peaceful hours in this beautiful place. A few years ago, we visited the gardens 4 times across a single year and captured changes across the seasons, while our visit will be tinged with sadness, we'll be visiting in the spring as nature comes to life again.
The gardens and nature trail are a great place to spend a few hours with a camera, you'll have an opportunity to photograph bridges, waterways, trees, shrubs and flowers, there is also a bird hide that provides an opportunity to capture the ever illusive Kingfisher.
You'll be offered some visual themes at the start of the session with guidance on composition, modes and settings throughout.
Photo walk events are aimed primarily at beginner and hobbyist photographers but all abilities are welcome. Group events tend not to be in depth technical tuition sessions (which work best on a 1-2-1 basis) but are more of an opportunity for like minded people to practice a great hobby with some professional advice and guidance. All very relaxed, friendly and fun.

Refreshments/Cafe: There is a cafe but it's uncertain whether it'll be open. Please do feel free to bring your own refreshments.
Weather: Photo walk events are dependent on the weather. If there's a forecast of heavy rain or any type of weather warning, the walk will be cancelled. 24+ hours notice will be provided by email with information on cancellation. Full terms and conditions can be found via the link above. If the walk is cancelled for any reason (including but not limited to poor weather), a full refund will be provided.
Emergency Contact: Before each event, attendees are asked to provide contact details for themselves and someone who can be reached in an emergency. This information will only be used if required on event day. Contact details will be securely stored (digitally) and deleted within 3 days of the walk ending. Names and phone numbers will not be used for marketing or any other purpose. This information is required for your own safety.
