bannerbanner Beside the River Burn - Burnham Overy Staithe - Group Photography Walk

Location: Burnham Overy Staithe, North Norfolk

Event Type: Guided group walk for beginner and hobbyist photographers. A social event that provides an opportunity for photography practice alongside other friendly/creative people. Guided by local photographer Jon Clifton

Date and start time: To be confirmed

Meeting Place: Burnham Overy Boathouse - East Harbour Way/The Quay - situated off the A149 - PE31 8FF

Details: After meeting and a brief introduction outside the boathouse, we'll explore the Staithe a little and photograph the boats at low tide. After this, we'll walk the Norfolk Coast path (beside the river Burn) to the dunes of beautiful Burnham Overy Beach, one of my favourite beach locations in the county. After spending some time on the beach (photographing sea grass, shells, dunes and Norfolk's famous big skies), we'll head back along the same route, to our original start point. During our walk, you'll be free to shoot in your own creative style. I'll be on hand to offer advice on composition, observation, camera settings and to answer any questions you may have.

The walk is aimed at beginner and hobbyist photographers but is open to everyone who loves the outdoors and the Norfolk coast. This walk is fairly lengthy over a mixture of terrain, there is a sharp incline when we get to the dunes.

Any camera type is fine (smartphones included) - please don't worry if you're new to photography, walks aren't a competition and everyone is made to feel equally welcome. Group walks aren't intended to be in depth/technical tuition sessions but more of an opportunity for like minded folk to get together to practice taking photographs. If you have any concerns or questions before booking your place, please just drop me an email.
